Sukriti Singh Rao is a PR Professional having 10 years of experience having worked with the country's finest PR firms like Perfect Relations and PR Pundit. Based in New York for a year, I was responsible for the entire US operations of a UK clothing company called Beetlejuice. It's been a fun journey from handling PR for mass brands like Red Tape, Saregama, Diageo Radico, to niche brands like Chopard, Piaget, Moet Hennessey and Luxury Quotient.
PR is not just the concept of pitching stories to the media, it's the angle of pitching that gets the eyeballs and attention of the ever fickle public. With NYC.PIE, I plan on creating a niche brand for the food aficionados which would have an international appeal catering to the domestic crowd.
Raj Rao career spans over 30 years in the hotel industry in California, Chicago, The Caribbean and India. He is passionate about Food & Beverage and started his career with Doubletree Hotels and has worked for Four Seasons Hotels, Ritz Carlton Hotels and Oberoi Hotels in various F&B roles.
In 2002, he was shortlisted to 1 of 8 candidates for the position of Food & Beverage Director for The White House in Washington D.C., under the Clinton administration.
He has done F&B pre-opening for 14 hotels. More recently, having worked with the Best Hotels and opened award winning restaurants, Raj Rao has created his own brand, by the name of NYC.PIEâ„¢, which is a Boutique Pizzeria catering to pizza lovers. NYC.PIEâ„¢ is in Gurgaon and New Delhi.
